Jill Krueger

President & Chief Executive Officer

Jill Krueger was named Symbria’s first President and Chief Executive Officer when the company was founded as Health Resources Alliance by 12 non-profit senior-living organizations in 1995. Under her leadership, Symbria has grown from $300,000 to more than $130 million in revenue and a workforce of nearly 2,000 full- and part-time and per diem employees.

Jill continues to be responsible for the growth and strategic direction of Symbria’s business lines. They encompass a full range of clinical and business solutions for senior-living and post-acute-care providers – including therapy and pharmacy services, wellness programs, experience surveys, business and management consulting, administrative support services, and post-acute integration solutions – all focused on meaningful metrics like improving quality, controlling costs, managing length of stay, building census, and gaining competitive advantage.

In 2015, Jill led Symbria’s transition to an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) company. Symbria purchased the equity of the company’s former shareholders on behalf of its employees, giving the employees a genuine stake in Symbria’s success, assuring the company’s independence and the strength of its culture, and establishing a retirement plan with high potential.

She currently serves on the Board of Capital Senior Living (NYSE: CSU). She is also chair of the CSU Audit Committee and the designated financial expert; serves on the Board of Directors of Fifth Third Bank – Illinois Affiliate; is a member of the Board of the Senior Care Pharmacy Coalition; and is a member of the Board of Directors and Steering Committee of the American Board of Post-Acute and Long-Term Care Medicine. In addition, she has served as a Director on two publicly-traded boards, six privately-held for-profit or limited liability company (LLC) boards, and three nonprofit boards.

Before she joined Symbria, Jill was a partner at KPMG LLP. In that role, she worked with senior-living providers and major health systems throughout the United States to develop and implement elder care strategies. Jill is a Certified Public Accountant and a Certified Management Accountant and a graduate of Northern Illinois University.


Debra J. Bragg

Chief Human Resources Officer

Deb Bragg joined the Symbria leadership team in 2016. As Chief Human Resources Officer, she is responsible for all aspects of human resources, including organization design and development.

Before joining Symbria, Deb was Vice President, Human Resources, for Vizient, Inc., the largest member-owned health care company in the United States. Prior to that, she was Chief HR Officer for UHC, an alliance of academic medical centers and affiliated hospitals, where, in addition to her human resources responsibilities within UHC, she provided services to Chief HR Officers across the UHC membership. She was director of human resources at Ameritech and held several leadership positions at the Chicago Tribune.

Deb has an undergraduate degree in communications from Loyola University and a master’s degree in management and organization behavior from Benedictine University.
