Frequently Asked Question of the Month:
Is the therapy evaluation/assessment alone enough to consider the visit skilled?
No. In home health, while an evaluation does require a therapist’s skills, it is not considered a visit for reimbursement purposes alone. However, if a skilled intervention is delivered in addition to the evaluation, then it would be considered a visit and should be documented accordingly.
